The E-Center is strengthening today’s economy while building tomorrow’s. We have been ranked #1 in the state among business incubators for both major metrics in our industry – the number of businesses currently served and the number of businesses graduated into the community. We also pursue work not traditionally undertaken by incubators, including talent recruitment, tech transfer partnerships allowing people to start companies using technologies from places like NASA, and the state’s first program where high school students learn to start businesses, do so, and get course credit. Meanwhile, we are building the regional and national partnerships necessary to benefit Morgan County while hosting value-added events helping residents learn how to break into the government contracting market (in partnership with the Treasury Department, Army Materiel Command, and more), how to leverage AI, how to buy businesses, and more. Our staff launches and directly operates all incubator programming and events, so our team must always be ready to fulfill multiple roles and functions.
